This guide started because online trading apps are powerful and strangely intimidating on the first morning. Friends kept asking the same plain questions — where is the quote, how do I place an order, and how do I reach my account safely? So we wrote the calm guide we wished we had, in plain words and with safety up front.

Everything here is written for someone who wants a straight, safe answer. We walk the broker, the brokerage account, and the sign-in in the order people meet them, and we say, every time, to start at the official site.
